This month I started paying attention to my spices, in particular turmeric. It’s supposed to have superpowers when it comes to my blood type, which is O, and helps with several big health issues, like cancer and heart disease. Other spices on my list include dill, fenugreek, garlic and ginger. Allspice and chili powder get a pass, as do cumin and mint. I’m a sea salt junkie, especially for pink Himalayan and Hawaii-sourced rust-red alaea. On the flip side, I have to give up nutmeg and black pepper (sad face).
